Episcopal Ordination of Fr Michael Router as Auxiliary Bishop of Armagh on Sunday 21st July at 3pm in Armagh Cathedral.  Fr Michael is a priest of the diocese of Kilmore and we wish him well in his new role.

1. Kinawley GAA Notes: Club Lotto Sunday 15/07/19. Numbers drawn were: 2, 14, 19, 23. No jackpot winner. Lucky Dip Winners: £20 – Sean Fitzpatrick, Kellegher Park, Derrylin £10 – Frank McManus, Drumbroughas, Macken £10 – Donna Murphy, Rookagh North, Kinawley £10 – Celine Reilly, Macken Next week's jackpot will be £6000 Supervisors are Michael Corrigan, Sean Doonan, Seamus Monaghan. Please support this important weekly fundraiser. Please remember 10.30pm deadline on Sunday nights. General club meeting this Thursday (25th) at 8.30pm to discuss and commence the launch of the Cairdre Brian Boru initiative. We would like to see as many people attending as possible for this very important fundraiser to secure the future of the club. The senior men face Roslea away this Sunday at 1pm. The Reserve men are home to Roslea this Friday at 7.30pm. The Under 17 Boys play Newtown at home this Saturday 8pm. Time subject to change. The 'Gaelic Mothers and Others' football has started with fantastic numbers turning out. This will normally be held from 8-9 on a Monday evening. A massive well done to the U14 girls and management who won the U14 final with a convincing win over Belcoo.  Well done to Senior Ladies who beat Brookeborough on Sunday. The game against Belcoo in the 9 a side this Sunday is called off.

Cairde Brian Boru (Friends of Brian Boru) - This initiative will be launched shortly by Cill Naile Brian Boramha/Naomh Mhuire Cill Laisir CLG. Over the next few weeks, a pamphlet will be delivered to every household in the club area. This will also be available online. The pamphlet will outline the developments that have taken place in the club over the last few years and our proposed future development plans. The details of our members' draw will be explained. The proposal is a donation of £10 a month with monthly cash prizes. All the money raised by this scheme will be used for future developments at our grounds. We are asking all our supporters, both at home and further afield, to read the pamphlet and consider joining Cairde Brian Born to help continue and build on the success that we enjoy as a Club both on and off the field across all codes and to contribute to the improvements of our facilities for the benefit of all the community.

Some gym equipment has been removed without authorisation. This must be returned urgently, otherwise access to the gym will be denied.

We are delighted to confirm that a pilot course in conversational Irish will take place twice a week in the club rooms for six sessions. This will suit members from secondary school age u to adult and of all abilities. This will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-12.30. Please contact Marie Allen asap if you wish to take part in this program.  

2. Kinawley GAA Healthy Club is hosting a ‘Recipes for Success’ workshop in St Aidan’s High School Derrylin on Monday 22nd July at 7.30pm. This is a unique healthy eating/nutritional initiative designed to support students heading off to college. It is a practical program supporting healthy eating for GAA players and members. Recipes for Success has two elements: a “hands-on” cookery workshop which is exclusive to Healthy Clubs and a toolkit which is filled with tasty, healthy, performance enhancing recipes that are quick and easy to make. Recipe for success will be delivered by Eileen McGovern Nutrient and Health Coach with ‘I’M Nuts about Nutrition’. Our Annual Festival will take place from Friday 2nd August to Monday 5th August 2019 Our Golf Classic will take place in Blacklion Golf Club on Saturday 24th August 2019.

Our next game is the Intermediate Championship when we play Drumlane in Bawnboy on Sunday 28th July at 3.15pm.

4. Swanlinbar Family Festival Friday 2 August 6.30pm Walking Treasure Hunt starting at Trivia House. Refreshments served afterwards in Cuilcagh Cafe.

Saturday 3 August Family Fun at the Fairgreen Playground 2pm Childrens Fancy Dress. Bouncy Castles. 4pm Teddy Bears Picnic. Just bring your Teddy. 5pm Summer Orienteering Event. Suitable for all ages. Registration and event beginning from Trivia House. 9pm Table Quiz in The Stables Bar followed by Live Music.

Sunday 4 August Annual Cuilcagh Walk 12,30pm Registration at Belvalley Gap €5. Registration also available from 12noon to 12,30pm at Cuilcagh Cafe, 1pm Cuilcagh Walk starting from Belvalley Gap. 6.30pm Cuilcagh BBQ at Trivia House. Live Music with John and Shane Burke.

Monday 5 August 2pm Family Sports Day at St Mary's GFC Grounds. Refreshments and BBQ on the day. 3pm Duck Race on Claddagh River. Followed by prize giving ceremony. 9pm Bingo in St Mary's Hall. Please support your local Community Cuilcagh Cafe open for refreshments all weekend.

6. New draw and loyalty club - Kinawley Community Centre have launched their new draw and loyalty club “Supporting Kinawley CC” which will supersede the current Raise the Roof draw in October with the purpose of supporting the longer term sustainability of the hall. 7. Keep Free Sunday 28th July Killesher Community family fun day (supported by KCDA) in aid of 5 local cancer charities. Venue: Florencecourt Primary School. Fun for all the family, lots of activities including Homemakers v Heartbreakers football match as well as teams from the local primary schools tug of war to name a few.  More information to come.

8. Be a Summer Star and Join the Reading Adventure at your local library! Collect your reading card and get a reward stamp for every book you read this summer. All children will receive a certificate to celebrate their achievement and everyone who participates has a chance to win Summer Star goodies!
