Apostolic Society annual display will take place this week end in  Killesher on Saturday 28th September, St Naile’s Church, Kinawley on Sunday 29th and in Wheathill Sunday 29th Swanlinbar 13th October. Usual collection will be taken up. Your support will be much appreciated.

Blessing of the Graves Kinawley Church and New Cemetery directly after 10am Mass Sunday 3rd November.  There will be Refreshments afterwards in the Community Centre.

1. Kinawley GAA Notes: Club Lotto Sunday 22/09/19 Numbers drawn were 6 22 23 27 No jackpot winner. Supervisors are Seamus Crudden, Joe McCarney and Frances Crudden. Please support the weekly lotto as it is the financial lifeline of our club. O’Neills Christmas order will take place at Saturday at 6pm in the clubrooms. Merchandise details will be available on Facebook and copies will be available on the evening. Cairde Brian Boru (Friends of Brian Boru) - This initiative is nearing the first draw on Sunday 29th.  A big thanks to each and every one of the many people who have signed up. For anyone who still has a form to be collected, please contact any committee member who will be happy to call.   Well done to the senior ladies who beat Newtownbulter in the championship final on Saturday. Good luck in their first round of ulster at home this Saturday at 2pm. Well done to U16 girls won the Division 1 Championship Final on Wednesday beating Knockninny Ladies. Good luck to the U13 boys in the Championship A Final against Irvinestown in Belnaleck on Saturday (28th) at 11am.  Good luck to the U13 girls in the league Semi-final on Saturday 28th at 10am in Brookeborough.

Kinawley Community Centre: A Mass on Monday the 30th September 7pm will be held for Kevin for a speedy recovery Seniors Daffodil Club – is on @ 10.30am in the community centre with fun activities and refreshments each week, start your week off in good company. Everyone is welcome  Boccia/New Age Curling starting on Wednesday mornings10.30am this is supported by funding from Sport NI/FODC New Flower Arranging Class  starting on Wednesday 9th October 7pm - 9pm cost £20 for 6 weeks.  There are limited places please contact Roisin on 07795571535 to book a place. 4. Killesher Toddle Tots Mondays in Larganess Centre hours 10.15am to 11.45am.  All mums, dads and grandparents are welcome.

 

5. St Aidan’s PTFA Crochet class by Tina with a wide range of new crochet ideas and techniques in St Aidan’s High School Derrylin every Thursday evening 7pm to 9pm beginners welcome £4 per night

 

6. A Safeguarding Information Session will be taking place on Wed 2nd October @ 7.30 in Kinawley Community Centre.  This information session is for parent/guardians, group leaders and volunteers of children and young adults involved in activities such as the youth group, John Paul II Awards and altar serving. It is mandatory for all leaders and volunteers in the parish who work with children to attend.

 

7. Parish Youth Group We hope to continue the Parish Youth Group this year but we are in need of a number of extra parent or anyone willing to help supervise for an hour and a half on a Wednesday evening every 2 weeks.  This would be greatly appreciated and will allow the youth group to continue.  Please contact Leanne on 07814097766 if anyone can help.   If any of our young people would like to take part in the John Paul II Awards this year contact Leanne on 07814097766.  Age 16 +

 

8. The new season for the Aughakillymaude Historical Society starts on Tuesday 8th October at 8.00/ 8.30 pm The Speaker: is Rev. Stanley (retired mini from Bainbridge Co Down). The Subject is the commercial developments and faith in China and Ireland. Rev. Stanley has worked with the Chinese Community in Ireland and China and has visited China a number of times. An interesting night awaits you.  Usual refreshments served. Please keep free Friday 8th November and Saturday 9th November for our book launch “The book of Knockninny” this book was first started in 1653 and finished  in 1718 by Brian Maguire described has a gentleman farmer from Kinawley. This will be a weekend of celebration If you need any further information on any of the events please let me know. We will provide more information on the book launch weekend closer to the time. Cuilcagh Medical Practice, Florencecourt: Flu Vaccine Clinics from 8th  October 2pm to 4.30pm No appointment necessary (Strictly Flu Vaccine only)  Please come for your vaccine if you  are aged 75 years or more or are in one of the at risk groups 64 years & under respiratory, heart, liver or kidney disease, diabetic or immunosuppressed.   All pre-school children aged two years or more on the 1st September 2019

 

10. Old Time Dance in Kinawley Community Centre on Sunday 29th September dancing from 9pm to 11.30pm to Brass Roots.  Everyone welcome. Supper served.
