19th July 2020

Sixteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Having implemented the guidelines in the framework document of the Irish Bishops Conference re Covid-19, we have restarted the Sunday Masses in the Parish of Kinawley-Killesher. We will revert to 2 metres social distancing for all churches in the parish with a maximum of 50 people and in accordance with governmental guidelines at least for the next couple of weeks. Please use the designated seating points in the churches only. Some responsibility for safety rests with the individual worshiper, so perhaps you may bring seat wipes to sanitise your own seat before and after Mass if you wish. The disinfectant used in the Church is of the spray/mist type. Families/households may sit together as one “pod. All communion will be consecrated by the priest in a lidded ciborium structure for later distribution to the faithful.

Initially the return of Eucharistic Ministry & Altar Servers is postponed due to the restricted numbers. A phased return will be implemented for all other Ministries, readers, cleaners, collectors, counters. Please check the future weekly newsletters for details of when each ministry will return.

Masses can be followed on the webcam as previously the case.
