Congratulations to our Senior Men who beat Erne Gaels last Saturday in the Senior Championship Quarter Final. They will now face holders Derrygonnelly in the Semi Final, Friday 11th September at 8pm in Brewster Park. Again this is an all ticket fixture.  You must be 2020 Club Member over the age of 16 to put your name in for the draw for a ticket. Congratulations to our Senior Ladies who got their Championship off to a winning start by beating Devenish 1-14 to 0-03 last Sunday. They now meet Brookeborough in the Semi Final this Sunday 6th September in Lisnaskea at 10am.

Congratulations to our Minor girls who beat Bellanaleck in the 'A' Championship Semi Final 6-12 to 2-02 on Wednesday.  Our girls will meet Derrygonnelly in the final, Wednesday 9th September at 6.45pm in Belcoo. 

Preschool, U6 and U8 coaching continues Thursday 10th September 6.30-7.30pm.  Can all parents please remember to reconfirm their child's health status on the GAA's Return to Play facility online.

Cut off time is 6pm on Monday for that week’s draw. Drive-in-Bingo continues in Charlie’s Yard every Monday at 8.30pm. Total prize fund which can be won on the night is €8,100. Snowball is on game 5 on 45 calls or less for €5,600. On game 10 there is the usual €1,000 to be won. Monday Night’s winner was from Belturbet.

Swanlinbar played Kill on Saturday last in Butlersbridge in the Junior Championship and final score Swanlinbar 1-16 Kill 1-17. As Swanlinbar have a bye in the next round of the Junior Championship we have to wait and see if we have done enough to reach the Quarter Finals.

3. Kinawley Community Centre Is back OPEN for hire. We are delighted to be able to open our doors again, we have had a Deep Clean from AAA Pristine cleaning and we have our santiser stations in place. 4. St Vincent de Paul: The Society members would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who donated money so generously during the pandemic. 5. The Episcopal Ordination of the Very Reverend Martin Hayes as Bishop of Kilmore will take place on Sunday 20 September 2020 in the Cathedral of SS. Patrick & Felim, Cavan at 3:00p.m. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the numbers attending the ceremony will be greatly reduced and will be by invitation only with only his immediate family and a few friends attending. The ceremony itself will be live-streamed on the internet and may be viewed at www.churchservices.tv/cavancathedral Further information regarding the ordination will be published over the coming weeks. In the meantime, we continue to pray for Fr. Hayes as he prepares to take up his new ministry as shepherd of God’s flock in the Diocese of Kilmore.


God, eternal shepherd, you tend your Church in many ways and rule us with love. You have chosen your servant, Fr. Martin Hayes, to be shepherd of your flock in the Diocese of Kilmore. Give him a spirit of courage and right judgment, a spirit of knowledge and love. By governing with fidelity those entrusted to his care, may he build your Church as a sign of salvation for the world.

We ask this through Christ our Lord, AMEN
