Senior Men resume their Division 1 League this Sunday 4th October away to Tempo at 1pm. Reserve Men were scheduled to play Lisnaskea this Saturday however Lisnaskea have conceded the game. Our Reserve men will play their re-fixture against Bellanaleck instead, Saturday 3rd October at 5pm in Bellanaleck. Congratulations to our U17 Boys who defeated Irvinestown 2-09 to 2-04 last Saturday morning and have now qualified for the Division 1 Final v Newtownbutler, this Saturday 3rd October at 11am in Newtownbutler.

Hard luck to our U13 Boys who lost out to St.Pat's, Donagh on Thursday evening.

Our Senior Ladies Ulster Club Quarter Final v Drumlane has been re-fixed for Sunday 11th October at 2pm in Kinawley. All tickets that were purchased for the postponed game are valid for this re-fixture. U16 Girls League & Championship have been cancelled for 2020.

Club Gear - Order forms for Club Gear are now available.  A batch of forms will be sent to the schools and local shops where you can pick one up. You can also print off the form from our Club Facebook page or contact Marie Allen for a form either.  Date for placing orders to be confirmed.

The clothes bank situated in the village has been temporarily removed for essential maintenance. We will inform you when it has returned.

Drive-in-Bingo continues in Charlie’s Yard every Monday at 8.30pm. Total prize fund which can be won on the night is €8,500. Snowball is on game 5 on 45 calls or less for €6,000. On game 10 there is the usual €1,000 to be won. Monday Night’s winner was B Gunn.

We play our final game in the Reserve Championship away to Cootehill on Sunday next at 12noon. The club would like to wish our neighbours Templeport the best of luck in the Final of the Junior Championship on Sunday next and hard luck to Shannon Gaels who were beaten in the semi-final on Sunday last.

Our Scenic River Walkway is under construction and at the moment we are waiting on ESB to move a pole and when that happens it will only take a couple of weeks to finish.

3. Kinawley Community Centre Is back OPEN for hire. We are delighted to be able to open our doors again. Due to Covid-19 we have restrictions regarding numbers in the hall at the one time. 4. St Vincent de Paul: The Society members would like to express their sincere thanks to all those who donated money so generously during the pandemic. Assistance is always available for any needy families in the locality. Helpline Number: 077 32222137. Fully confidential. The monthly Church collections will recommence on the weekend of October 3rd/4th.

5. THEOLOGY STUDY GROUP - Fr. Eamonn Bredin will conduct a six-week course on "The Aims of Vatican II, The Liturgy, and the Role of the Laity" in the Diocesan Pastoral Centre, Cavan, on Thursday evenings, beginning Thursday 1 October 2020, from 7:30p.m. to 9:30p.m. (subject to social distancing protocols). Suggested donation per night: €5. All welcome.

6. Cuilcagh Medical Practice, Florencecourt, Flu Vaccination Clinic on Tuesday 6th October. All patients of the practice aged 65 or over and those under 65 with Asthma, COPD, Chronic Heart, Kidney or Liver disease or Diabetes are invited to attend. Due to Covid restrictions, clinics will be by appointment only. Please phone 028 6634 8080 to make an appointment.

7. St Joseph’s Young Priest’s Society, Swanlinbar: Owing to Coronavirus we are unable to go around the houses to do our collection for the Young Priest’s Society. Therefore we would appreciate if those people who wish to give donations please leave their donations into the chapel at Mass times. Or otherwise please leave with Patricia Brogan in shop and we will collect from there. Thank you.

 

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED

St Mary’s Church, Swanlinbar are looking for volunteers to clean our church once a week for an hour or so. If we can get enough volunteers to help we will do a rota to make things easier for all. Please contact Rose or Ann at the Sacristy.
