New Covid-19 guidelines regarding Religious Services after Christmas 2020

In ROI all religious services move online after Christmas Day. Churches can remain open for private prayer and reflection. Funerals in ROI are limited to 10 mourners. Marriage ceremonies in ROI are limited to 25 up to and including 2nd January 2021 and from 3rd January 2021, up to 6 guests are permitted.

In NI Places of worship are permitted to open in line with relevant guidance. Social distancing and appropriate protective measures are of vital importance. Religious services are permitted with a recommended limit of 15 attending. Marriages and Funerals in NI are limited to 25. A set of stricter measures are being put in place from 12.01 am on 26 December 2020 to 12.01 am on 2 January 2021. Restrictions will be in place each night from 8.00pm until 6.00am the following morning and there can be no indoor or outdoor gatherings of any kind which means this week’s Vigil Mass is at the earlier time of 7.00pm.

On game 10 there is the usual €1,000 to be won. Monday night’s winner was Aiden Duffy, Enniskillen. The club have decided not to hold Bingo on next Monday night while awaiting the Government’s latest decision on Covid-19 The club would like to wish all club members and patron’s a very Happy Christmas and a Healthy & Safe New Year.

Our Scenic River Walkway is almost finished and as soon as the ESB move a pole we will be able to complete.

4. St Vincent de Paul: Contact No: 077 32222137. The Society wishes to thank everyone for their generosity during the past year. It is greatly appreciated. December is the National designated month for donating to this important Society. Because of current restrictions people may donate to any member of the Society and they will be receipted. Donations may also be left in Parochial House letterbox.

5. Thanks: Matthew and Nora Markey (nee McHugh) would like to thank Fr Maurice, for offering Holy mass for Emma also, Fr Benny, Fr Eamon, Fr. Pat, Fr Brian D’arcy Passionist, Fr Dessie Corrigan Sma, Fr Noel Conlon, Fr Raymond Donnelly, Enniskillen and Fr John Finnegan PE Arney. They would like to thank all their kind friends and neighbours for all their kindness shown to them when their daughter Emma was in hospital. They would also like to thank Anna McKenna and St Mary’s Killesher Football Club, everyone that sent money, mass and get well cards, for phoning and texting the family. Emma is at home now and doing well and looking forward to the festive season. We appreciate the fact that you all thought of us, at such a hard time in our lives – with every good wish, for Christmas and 2021.

COVID-19 Support Line for Older People: ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm by calling 0818 222 024, and will remain open over the Christmas period.

7. St Vincent de Paul Swanlinbar Branch: Envelopes are at the church door. Please take one for the annual collection and leave in the weekly collection basket or pass to one of the committee members. May thanks for your continuous generosity.
