New Covid-19 guidelines regarding Religious Services

In ROI all religious services move online. Churches can remain open for private prayer and reflection

In NI all religious services move on line with immediate effect.  Consequently all masses will be celebrated in St Naile’s Chapel Kinawley as indicated below and can be viewed via the webcam MCN Media.  Any anniversary masses can be said in available slots in St Naile’s Church, Kinawley and watched via the webcam. Please telephone Helen on 02866348250 on Wednesdays between 2.30pm and 5.30pm to arrange. Churches can remain open for private prayer and reflection.

Catholic Schools: Communities of Faith and Resilience.  It has been a very challenging year for our students, and we hope to refocus our students’ minds to see how strong each and every one of them is.  The year, Catholic Schools Week runs from Sunday 24th January to Sunday 31st January. The theme for each day is as follows:

 Monday: Catholic School: Communities of Faith and Resilience – Faith

Tuesday: Catholic School: Communities of Faith and Resilience – Community

Wednesday: Catholic School: Communities of Faith and Resilience – Love

Thursday: Catholic School: Communities of Faith and Resilience –Challenges

Friday: Catholic School: Communities of Faith and Resilience - Hope

Our walking track remains open. We ask all users of the track to adhere to the signs to follow the one direction when walking/running. 

Mylife Every Steps Counts challenge is back. This is open for everyone in the community (over 18) to get involved. The challenge is for the club to total 4000km over 7 weeks to be in with a chance to win O'Neills vouchers. The challenge began Wednesday 13th, and thank you to everyone who has registered so far. If you want to get involved it is not too late, you can register through the 'Mylife by Irish Life' app, joining the Ulster Every Step Counts challenge and search, Kinawley Brian Boru Gaa Club. The challenge concludes March 3rd.

Congratulations to two of our senior ladies, Aine McManus and Courteney Murphy, shortlisted in the Gaelic Lift Ulster Club All Star Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted for these players last weekend.

Swanlinbar Gaa Notes 18th January 2021 Please check our Facebook page for Advice to Clubs and Counties for activities post 31st December 2020 from Gaa Croke Park Due to official government guidelines re Covid-19 we have had to cancel our drive-in Bingo and also our Blotto All will resume when we move to Level 3 Our Blotto will start at €12000. You can now do your Blotto online atHttps://www.klubfunder.com/Clubs/Swanlinbar St Marys/lotto Cut off time is 6pm on Monday for that week’s draw

Bingo  Total prize fund which can be won at the next Bingo is €9800.  Snowball on game 5 on 45 calls or less for €6,500Quickie game for the line €100 and for panel €250 game 10 there is the usual €1000 to be won. 

Our Scenic River Walkway is almost finished. The ESB have come and done some work and have to come back and move a pole. Then we can finish.

3. Little Treasures: Application forms for September 2021 are now available online via www.eani.org.uk under admissions. This is for children born on or between 2nd July 2017 and 1st July 2018.  Closing date 29th January 2021 @12 noon.

4. COVID-19 Support Line for Older People: ALONE manage a national support line and additional supports for older people who have concerns or are facing difficulties relating to COVID-19 (Coronavirus). Professional staff are available to answer queries and give advice and reassurance where necessary. The support line is open seven days a week, 8am - 8pm by calling 0818 222 024.
